Tune out of the world, tune into yourself, put on those headphones and enjoy some music with me from 11:00 to midnight.
But joking aside, it’s Chris’ birthday once again! The old man continues to get older, but the real mystery is; has he learned to act his age?
Is he like a fine wine, an aged scotch or a broken down jalopy?
Tune in tonight for more mild ribbing about age but more importantly, good music on your community radio station in Regina – 91.3 FM.
The plague has come full circle and now captured Chris in it’s icy hands! Soon, it will be only Plague… Plague be with you…
So… where does that leave the show tonight? Well, it’s going to be weird. Time for another last minute theme night! Tonight… a full hour of CHIPTUNE MUSIC! That’s right, your favorite electronic beeps and boops from the machines of the 80’s playing music for you.
Tune in at 11:00 pm tonight on 91.3 FM in Regina or online at www.cjtr.ca
Some things are just super cool to look at, even though they may not have anything to do with aquatic life or even the majestic manatee. Like space… space is super cool!
In fact, true story*, if the show wasn’t called Operation Manatee, it would have been named “I Dream of Cassini” and have been a talk show just coming up with random thoughts while watching videos of space related videos. Like a Deep Thoughts but strictly inspired by asteroids and comets.
However the pomp and majesty of the great sea cow won out in the end and the rest, as they say, is history. Tune in at 11:00 pm to continue to listen to history being made on 91.3 FM in Regina or online at www.cjtr.ca.
*Not ACTUALLY a true story. At least not one we would tell under oath or repeatedly for fear of confusing the “facts”.
With all the good that spring can bring, there’s also a lot of bad. Today’s lesson; the plague hides itself in the snow and ice all winter long and at first availability, will run rampant through the world that has freed it from it’s icy prison.
So hopefully you’re one of the lucky few that hasn’t caught any of the Spring Crud that is floating around. The first cold always seems to be the hardest to shake and easiest to spread. Take care and if you’re able, remember the best cure is good music and warm company. Tune in tonight at 11:00 pm on 91.3 FM in Regina and you can get a little of both!
Step 1: Make favourite tea
Step 2: Turn on radio
Step 3: Relax into favourite spot
Step 4: Enjoy life
Tune in from 11:00 to midnight tonight for something a little different.
With all due respect to Christmas, THIS is the most wonderful time of the year!
The sun is shining when you go to work and the temperature outside isn’t life-threateningly low. In fact, the sidewalks are clearing and there’s water dripping from everywhere. Soon, there might even be some green plants within view.
Even though it’s technically still winter, it’s a wonderful spring week! Come join in the fun tonight at 11:00 pm as we play some spring shanties to get you flinging around the room. 91.3 FM in Regina or online at www.cjtr.ca.
I think this says it all…
But tune in at 11:00 pm on 91.3 FM or online at www.cjtr.ca and we’ll see if we can turn up the heat in your eardrums.
Cory joined community radio as a way to fight off a scary report he once read about a person’s developing tastes in music. In short, the study found that once you hit your early 30’s, your taste in music is cemented and you resist anything new. Scared by this, he made it a personal mission to continue to keep looking for new songs and artists that he could appreciate.
Taking an opportunity since Chris is out of town for the evening, Cory opened up a request for some of the listener’s favorites. Music is best shared among friends! Tune in at 11:00 pm on 91.3 FM in Regina to hear what kinds of songs were suggested.
It’s hard to tell if anyone else is keeping track, but it seems like winter just shows up later and later each year. We’re teased around the holiday, but once the joy and mirth of the season has passed, we get buckled down and snowed under… with winds and cold. It can be a real bummer.
But we have just the cure for the hohums and the doldrums. Tune in at 11:00 pm on 91.3 FM in Regina or online at www.cjtr.ca and listen to some great songs and some good company.
